What Add-in are you using?
Sessions in Vevox are controlled by the Session Status. This is the place where you start and end your session.
Before you can present your polls, you need to ensure that your meeting session state is in the 'Started' mode.
In this section we cover:
Where to see your session state
The Meetings Session State will appear as soon as you connect your session to the Office 365 Add-in. From here you can see if the session is in the Waiting state, has been Started, or has been Stopped.
No polls, surveys, quiz questions or Q&A can be asked unless your session is started first.
You will also see a notice indicating that your session has not started once you have opened your PowerPoint slide deck. Press the 'Start session' in the task pane to enable the session.
Alternatively press the 'Start session' option in the black instruction box at the top of your dashboard. You can do it immediately after you created your session. Or use the three dots in the task pane to access the dashboard.
Simulating polling results
Unfortunately, the Office 365 Add-in cannot simulate polling results and thus will not have a disabling polling option either.
Sessions in Vevox are controlled by the Session Status. This is the place where you start and end your session.

In this section we cover:
By default when a Vevox meeting session is created it is in the 'Waiting' state. The state of the meeting session is displayed in the Vevox ribbon in PowerPoint.
Before you can start polling, your meeting status needs to be in 'Meeting Started' mode.
Starting Your Presentation
If your meeting session has already been started from the Vevox online Dashboard then everything is ready to start asking your participants questions.
If your meeting session has not been started in the dashboard yet, it is not a problem. When you start the presentation by going into Slide Show mode (press F5) you will be prompted to start it. All other current sessions in your session list will be placed in the 'Waiting' status.
Simulating polling results
Before your meeting starts, you can also simulate polling results without having participants answering your actual questions. The Vevox system creates simulated results. This functionality can assists presenters in understanding how the slides will appear with voting results on. There are two ways to simulate what your polls and slides will look like.
1. Use the sample results button
Both the 'clear results' and simulating functionality can be accessed from the PowerPoint ribbon.
2. Use the simulate polling option
This can be done from slide show mode. Your session status must be in the waiting or stopped mode to simulate the polling.
Remember to clear all results before you start the actual polling.
Disabling polling
A presenter or host can also run through the meeting session & presentation deck in PowerPoint (in Slide show mode) while the polling is disabled. This way no results will be collected.
