The fantastic thing about the Office 365 Add-in is that you can create professional slide layouts quickly, right from within PowerPoint. The Powerpoint Designer function gives you plenty of templates to choose from that can be customized in different looks. To set up a new designer PowerPoint template in Office 365 do the following:
Open a new blank PowerPoint presentation slide deck.
Move to the designer tab and then either choose a theme or go directly to the designer button in the PowerPoint ribbon.
For some theme templates, a design ideas pane with more slide layout options will appear on the right side of the window. Remember to close the designer ideas pane to see the Vevox polls again.
Once you have decided on your presentation theme, it is time to go back to your Vevox polls. Select the Home tab and click the Vevox Add-in on the right of the PowerPoint ribbon. Make sure to add your instruction slide first so your participants will know how to join the session.
Now add the rest of your polls to your presentation. Your Vevox polls will now appear in your professionally designed presentation.
Do not worry about the placeholder 'Result slide' in the presentation, once you have added a poll. When you enter slide show mode, it will automatically disappear when asking your polls.

Using images in polls
Images included in the poll question title or choice options will automatically be pulled into your PowerPoint presentation whether it was set up in PowerPoint or in the dashboard. The image will appear in your question and result slide and take up 50% of the context box. The other 50% is for the Vevox poll results. This will automatically be scaled for optimum display.
Changing the slide layout
Changing the slide layout once the polls have been added to your presentation is not advisable as your poll display will automatically conform to the Title & Content slide setup from the design template.

Using slide master to resize your polling graph
There is also a workaround to change your Vevox polling graph if you need to resize or move it around on your PPT slide. Ensure you test this yourself, as Vevox cannot be held accountable for slide layout changes other than the default Vevox settings.

Using the Display options:
When you select the display options another menu will open up to the right-hand side of your slide.
The first part of the display options relates to results, adding count down clocks and adding sound clips when you are polling.
1. Customizing how the result bars look
When sharing your polls with your participants, you can set up each slide to show the results of the polling or to hide the results and carry straight on to the new slide. For maximum participant engagement, we strongly suggest that you show results after each poll, show the voting average and reveal if there is a correct answer.
You also have the option to select your data label type you would like to use that is related to the display of the results.
2. Adding a countdown clock
With the legacy PowerPoint Add-in one can add a countdown clock to create some excitement and also limit the time that participants have to vote on a poll. Follow our instructions on how to set up a countdown clock for your polling in PowerPoint.
3. Adding sound to your countdown clock
From this section you can decide if you would like to:
- Play sound during polling
- Loop the sound clip until the vote is closed
- Or play a sound when the poll is closed.
You can also upload your own sound clips. To do this ensure that your file with sound is saved onto your computer before uploading it.
4. Changing the layout of the objects on your slide
The layout section is made up of three parts.
1. Select All Shapes
The select all shapes feature is an easy way to highlight a group of specific objects related to the poll so that you can make changes such as font sizes or color to multiple objects all at once.
Choice Text - This will select all the text of all the voting choices that you have specified in the question.
Choice Numbers - This will select all of the default numbers associated with each option.
Bars - Selects all of the results bars.
Data Labels - Selects the data labels associated with each of the options.
Displayed Text - Selects all of the text associated with the question. This is a combination of Choice text, Choice Numbers and Data Labels.
2. Autofit
The autofit feature is a useful tool that will allow you to let the software intelligently apply a recommended best fit for your poll on the slide.
3. Reset To Default
If you have been editing the layout of your poll and you don't like the changes that you have made you can always revert back to the default layout applied when the question was first created.
