Webex allows for an added multimedia feed to the online streaming platform. This enables video streaming together with Vevox polling on the same screen. As a meeting host, you only need to share your Vevox session in Present View and then use the Webex 'Screen Share' option to show your Vevox questions to your meeting participants. Participants can then either take part in the Vevox questions from within the Webex meeting with the Vevox integration (see steps below as a meeting participant) or alternatively, they can vote from their mobile devices (no integration needed).
If you want to integrate your online session with Vevox when you are in the meeting, follow these steps.
As a meeting Host:
Create a Vevox session and populate your polls.
Start the Vevox session and copy the 9-digit Session ID by selecting the three dots icon and then choose the 'Invite Participant' option.
An invitation will appear. Copy the URL only (not the complete invitation) and keep it for later. Close the invitation.
Click on your session card to open your Vevox dashboard. From here launch your Vevox polls in Present View by selecting the 'Present Fullscreen' button.
Go back to your Webex meeting and start your online Webex meeting as normal. Go to the 'Share' option at the bottom of the meeting and choose the relevant screen showing your Vevox Present view.
With your Vevox screen being shared with your meeting participants, use the Present View control bar at the bottom of the screen to launch & stop your polls for your online meeting. Manage your Q&A session or ask participants to fill in any pre-setup surveys. Engage with your participants like you would do with any presentation and interact with them like they are in the room with you.
As a meeting Participant
These steps show how to integrate the Vevox participant App into the Webex meeting. Participants joining your Webex meeting should do the following steps:
Join the Webex meeting as you would normally using the Webex meeting ID that you received from the meeting host. This will take you directly into the meeting or to the meeting host's personal room (depending on the meeting set up).
Get the Vevox participant invitation URL from your meeting host. (See step 2 in the Host set up above). It should look similar to https://vevox.app.123456789 but the numbers 1-9 should be replaced with the unique Vevox session ID.
In your Webex application, go to the Share option at the top and select 'Share Multimedia'.
Paste the Vevox URL in the empty line. Remember to exclude the /m# if your ID number has that included like in this example: https://vevox.app/m#/133327731). Then click 'OK'.
Your Webex screen will now show the Vevox session card in the Multimedia Viewer in the right bottom corner.
If it does not show automatically, click on the 'Multimedia Viewer' after you have selected the three dots (more options) in the bottom right corner of your screen.
Delete the participant list or chat list in the top right-hand corner for the multimedia viewer to move to the top of the screen and drag the viewer box down to see more of the multimedia viewer.
Participants will see the Vevox questions in the multimedia viewer appear and can answer questions by clicking with their mouse. No mobile devices needed to take part in the polling.
Participants may see this prompt at the bottom right and click “continue” to enable the multimedia stream to show.
You and your participants will now have this view with the Multimedia feed in the right top hand corner.
