A refreshed look for Vevox
Soon, we will be rolling out a refreshed user interface for Vevox. While you will notice a cleaner, more modern look when you log in, all core features and functionality remain exactly where you would expect them to be.
If you have been following our updates over the last few years, you will know that we have continued to add more of the things you have asked for, and we want to keep doing exactly that. As Vevox has grown, the existing interface has become more constrained. This update lays the groundwork for Vevox’s future, giving us a more flexible foundation to better support today’s features and introduce new capabilities in a way that feels organised, consistent, and intuitive, without disrupting how you work today.
A new home for your presentation
The initial focus of this update is the Polls page of your dashboard, this will now be known as the Presentation page. Live polling has always been at the heart of Vevox, but over time this space has expanded beyond polling alone. Various types of non polling content now live here as well, which has naturally turned this area into the main hub of your presentation.
In the Presentation area, you will notice a different use of space. You can still see a list of all the content in your session, but there is now more emphasis on previewing what that content looks like. This makes it easier to manage your presentation and stay focused on what your audience will see.
Another terminology change comes to the Survey page, which is now called Self‑paced. At this stage, only the name has changed and the functionality remains the same.
The new name better reflects how participants interact with this content, such as self‑paced quizzes or self‑paced opinion surveys, compared with the live interactions you run within the Presentation section.
Other improvements you will notice
Alongside the visual refresh, we have also been making a number of usability improvements designed to make everyday tasks faster and easier. These include:
- Faster creation of your presentations, with fewer clicks required
- Better alignment with accessibility standards
- Clearer and more intuitive controls for running your presentation
These changes are intended to reduce friction rather than introduce new complexity.
Familiar, just refreshed
Once you start using the updated dashboard, most things should still feel familiar. While some elements have been moved or subtly re‑oriented, the overall experience remains consistent. The look and feel of UI components is unchanged, and the way you create your presentation content continues to follow the same established workflows.
What is changing now and what comes next
For this update, our focus is on the Presentation section. The Q&A, Self‑paced activities, and Data areas of the dashboard remain largely unchanged.
Looking ahead, we will take a similar approach across these areas as we continue to add functionality. As those sections evolve, you can expect thoughtful and incremental updates to the interface that support growth while maintaining a sense of familiarity.
When this is happening
This update will be rolling out to your dashboard on Sunday 7th June from 6am UTC as part of our Summer 2026 update. There is nothing you need to do to receive the updates, they will be automatically rolled out to all users.
