In some instances, you might want to change a message, correct a spelling error or remove your announcement from the Q&A board. It is easy to make these changes from the manage announcement list.
To edit an existing announcement do the following:
Go to the 'Manage Announcements' button.
Click on the three dots next to the announcement you wish to edit.
Select 'Edit' and make your changes directly in the text field.
Click on the correction mark. The updated announcement will now appear on the Q&A board.
How to remove (unpublish) an announcement
If you'd like to temporarily remove an announcement from the Q&A board without deleting it completely, you can unpublish it.
- Once unpublished, the announcement will disappear from:
- The participant app
- Present view
- However, it will remain in:
- Your Manage Announcements list
- The data report
To unpublish your announcement:
Go to 'Manage announcements' button next to the announcement list.
Click the ‘X’ icon next to the announcement.
- It will immediately be removed from view.
- To republish it later, click the publish icon again.
How to delete an announcement
To permanently delete an announcement:
First, unpublish the announcement so it’s removed from the Q&A board.
Then, click the three dots next to the announcement.
Select ‘Delete’ to permanently remove it from your list.
We recommend unpublishing instead of deleting. This way, the announcement is no longer visible to participants but still included in your data report for reference.
