In this article we cover:
What is an authentication code and what is it used for?
An authentication code is an alternate way to sign in to Vevox—especially useful when your organization or university requires it for integrations like those with Microsoft Teams or PowerPoint. Instead of logging in with your email and password, you’ll use a generated code.
Steps to Create and Use Your Authentication Code for Teams:
When adding Vevox to your Teams meeting, you’ll see a login prompt. Click Log in, then choose 'I have an authentication code'.
In your Vevox dashboard (in your browser), go to Profile Settings in the left menu. Click 'Generate code' to create an authentication code, then copy it.
Return to your Teams meeting, paste the code into the login prompt, and click 'Continue'. Choose the specific Vevox session you want to link to this meeting, then click 'Save'. A pop-up will confirm the session status (Started / Waiting / Stopped).
When you join your Teams meeting and click on the Vevox icon at the top, it will open the Vevox admin view in the side panel of your meeting.
