Vevox can be integrated into other event apps giving your participants the ability to use the features of Vevox without having to leave your event app.
There are two methods for embedding Vevox with an event app, Anonymous and Identified
Firstly you'll need to get the link for the Vevox app.
- Go to the Vevox meeting in your dashboard.
- Click on the arrow next to the Meeting ID in the status bar at the top of the page.
- Select copy web app link to clipboard
The format of the link will look something like this https://vevox.app/m#/123456789
By default using this link will take your participants to the Info and welcome screen of the app. You can append the URL with further information to take your users directly to a particular section of the app e.g.
To insert Vevox into your event app
- Navigate to the settings area of your event app
- Enable the ability to create a web View
- Enter the link to the Vevox web app
To identify participants in Vevox with your event app you can use a dynamic URL.
The dynamic URL is a way to for the Event App that Vevox is integrated within to pass the participants first name, last name and e-mail from though to Vevox. Polling and Q&A responses can then be identified during the meeting and/or in post event reports.
How do I create a dynamic URL?
First you must contact the Vevox team at email@example.com to enable your account to allow dynamic URLs to be used.
1. As described above in the anonymous section copy the web app link to the meeting which includes the meeting ID, this is called the ‘base link’
2. Then, add the following parameters:
first_name = the first name in the profile (can be edited once the user comes in to the event)
last_name = the last name in the profile (can be edited once the user comes in to the event)
email = email field in profile database, this is invisible in the application and is used as an identifier in reports
Can I integrate Vevox into any event app?
Where participation is anonymous you should be able to integrate Vevox within any event app. However we recommend you first check with your event app provider and test thoroughly. There may be settings in place or reasons that mean you event app cannot support an integration.
For dynamic URL integrations, again it should be possible but you will need to speak to your event app provider first.
