When you enable any Add-in (like the Vevox PowerPoint Add-in), it adds custom commands and features (like polling) to your PowerPoint and helps increase interaction, inclusivity and productivity.
Should you no longer use Vevox and wish to remove/disable it from your PowerPoint ribbon follow the instructions below.
What Add-in are you using?
To remove the Vevox Add-in from Office 365 on a Windows machine:
Go to the 'Home' tab in your Powerpoint ribbon.
Go to the Add-ins icon and press the 'More Add-ins' button from the drop down menu. Select 'My Add-ins'.
Next to the Vevox Add-in, select the three dots and then press the 'Remove' option. This message will appear:
Select 'Remove' again. The Add-in will now have disappeared from your PowerPoint ribbon.
To remove the Vevox Add-in from Office 365 on a Mac machine:
In PowerPoint, choose Tools > PowerPoint Add-ins from the macOS menu at the top of your screen.
If more than one add-in is shown in the list, select Vevox then click on the minus sign to remove it. Press OK.
To remove the Vevox Legacy Add-in:
Open PowerPoint. Click File > Options > Add-ins. Now highlight the Vevox app.
Towards the bottom of the window, where it says Manage, click the 'Go' button.
In the dialog box, select the add-ins you want to disable or remove.
To disable the Vevox add-in, just uncheck the box in front of its name. To uninstall the add-in select it and click 'Remove'.
Click 'OK' to save your changes and return to your PowerPoint presentation. Your Vevox Add-in would no longer appear in your Powerpoint ribbon.
If you encounter difficulties removing your Legacy PPT Add-in, it's possible that your organization or institution restricts individuals from uninstalling any Add-ins. Kindly reach out to your IT administrator to obtain the required permissions.
