With this integration, Blackboard users can seamlessly add live polling and Q&A to their courses, creating a more interactive learning experience. If you are a lecturer and want to link Vevox to your Blackboard course, read this article instead.
This set up requires you to be an Account Administrator of your Vevox account with an Institutional plan, and you will also need to be an administrator of your Blackboard account.
- In your Vevox dashboard go to Account > Admin Settings > LTI.
- Select 'Create New' and choose Blackboard.
- Copy the Client ID from here
- Navigate to Administrative Tools and select LTI Tool Providers (under Integrations).
- Select Register LTI 1.3/Advantage Tool
- Paste in the Client ID you just copied in step 3.
- Paste in the Client ID you just copied in step 3.
- The next screen should auto-populate most of the required fields. Copy the Default Deployment ID and Tool Redirect URLs it provides as we will need those in a moment.
Make sure to check the following values:- Tool Status: Approved

Tool Provider Custom Parameters:
- Context.id.history=$Context.id.history
- ResourceLink.id.history=$ResourceLink.id.history
The $Context.id.history and $ResourceLink.id.history values are required if you are copying courses within Blackboard and want to retain any Vevox links when the copy is made.

Allow Membership Service Access: Yes
The Allow Membership Service Access is required if you want students to access Vevox directly via vevox.app or the QR code in Present view (instead of through the Blackboard link) and have their grades passed back to the Blackboard gradebook.
To use this setup, Participant SSO must also be configured on your Vevox account.
- Back in Vevox at the LTI settings from step 1, Paste in the Deployment ID you copied from the Blackboard Tool status screen and press save.
- In Blackboard, go to the Vevox LTI 1.3 Tool and select the dropdown next to the name (hover in this area to find it), then select Manage Placements.
- Fill in the details for your placement as detailed below
- Label: Enter the name you would like to appear in the course content menu e.g. Vevox
- Handle: Vevox
- Availability: Yes
- Type: Deep linking content tool and Allow student access.
- To add the Vevox logo to make it more recognizable as an LTI Tool provider, click on the 'Icon' option and upload this logo:
- Target Link URI: Copy and paste this link from the Tool Redirects URL in the LTI Tool status screen (step 4 above).
- Press submit when finished. The setup is now complete, and you can now add Vevox from the content section in Blackboard.
