A fast and efficient way of repeating a session to different participant groups is to reuse a session with the same polls, quiz, survey or Q&A. When you reuse a session, a separate data report will be created for each group, archived safely in your session history for future downloads. There is no need to duplicate a session or change the session ID & QR codes. Participants can use the same login details for each session, and you can simply start your session afresh.
This feature is only available to Presenter, Pro, Institution and Enterprise accounts.
In this article we cover the following:
- When and how to reuse a session
- Steps to reset a session
- How to download or delete your session history
In some instances, there is a need to repeat an HR session in different departments or use the same session in other classes, in different training sessions, or even in various offices worldwide. Reusing a session will help you determine the most critical issues for each business unit, campus or group of stakeholders, enabling you to reiterate the same conversations but compile their feedback data separately.
To reuse a session, you must reset your session. When you reset your session, your session data will automatically be saved in the session history, taking on the name of the session followed by a v1 next to it. Rename the session data to quickly identify it in the future.
The archived reports in the session history store the session data according to individual sessions run and not amalgamated data from all the sessions combined. The different data reports can be downloaded individually or in bulk in the session history or permanently deleted when you do a test run.
If you need access to the session history due to accidentally resetting your session and clearing all the data in the data report, upgrade to a Presenter/Pro/Institution/Education account.
Steps to reset a session:
Select the' Reset Session' button from the Data section in the main menu. A popup will confirm that all poll results, survey results and messages in the Q&A board will be cleared and stored in your session history. (This is the same information as when you choose to download the data report.) Click on 'Reset'.
A saved Excel file will appear on the right side in the session history panel. Click the three dots (more options) next to the session name and select 'Rename'. Give your report a new name.
Your session will now be cleared from all results and is ready to be reused at your next engagement. The total participants, active participants and interactions stats in your data summary will all default to zero to indicate that it is cleared.
Repeat this process for all the sessions used at different participant engagements.
How to download or delete your session history:
You can download your reports in bulk by clicking on the tick box next to the relevant reports and choosing the download option above it. If you need to delete them, it can also be done from here.
