To enable this, an Account Admin must first configure SAML Authentication for your organization's Vevox account.
How Participant SSO (Single Sign-On) Works
Participant SSO ensures that only individuals within your organization can join your Vevox session. When joining, they must log in using their usual organizational credentials. Their email addresses, along with their first and last names, will also be recorded in the Excel data report.
Once enabled, you can choose to allow anyone in your organization to join or further restrict access to specific individuals or groups.
Setting Up Authentication in a Session
With Participant SSO enabled, an additional option will appear in your Identification Settings menu.
Open the Settings menu within your session.
Navigate to the Participant Identification section.
Ensure the session is set to Identified and that 'Show names' are selected. (Authentication is not possible in fully anonymous sessions).
Enable SAML SSO Authentication.
By default, everyone in your organization can join the session. You can:
-
Keep this setting as is, allowing all members access.
-
Remove ‘Everyone’ and manually enter the email addresses of specific individuals.
-
Only specify email addresses from within your organization (external emails are not supported).
-
Paste multiple email addresses at once, separating them by spaces or commas.
-
Invite groups instead of individuals (requires prior setup by your Account Admin).
Data Visibility in SSO Sessions
When SSO authentication is enabled, participant email addresses will appear in all relevant data reports, including:
- Attendance records
- Polling results
- Survey responses
- Q&A submissions
Note: It is not possible to have fully anonymous sessions when participants use authentication.
