Choose from a rating scale (also called a Likert scale) or a star rating scale.
1. Rating Scale
A Likert scale is a rating scale used to measure attitudes, perceptions, and opinions. Commonly employed in market research and social science surveys, it helps researchers gauge views and sentiments toward a product, service, brand, or market. You can rate multiple items on the same voting scale and provide labels for the upper and lower values. The highest values must not exceed 10. The poll will display the average participant responses for each item rated.
To create a rating scale poll follow these steps:
In the Polls section select the '+ Create new' button.
Select Rating Scale as the poll type.
Enter the ' Question title' of your poll or question. It is optional to add rich text formatting (bold, underline, italics paragraph break) to the question title.
If you prefer, add an image to the poll question by clicking on the picture icon. Either upload a preferred image from your computer or use the built-in library of licensed images. (If you have a Free account, you will not have access to this feature.)
Ensure the rating scale tab is selected. Enter your label for the bottom of your scale, as well as the top of your scale. These can include options like; Very dissatisfied to Very satisfied, Strongly disagree to Strongly agree, Not important at all to Extremely important, Never to Very frequent, Very uninterested to Very interested etc. Now decide on your highest sliding scale value (maximum is 10).
Now enter your items to rate.
Keep the default settings or use custom settings for this poll.
Press 'Create'.
Your poll will appear like this in Present View and on the participant app. The average audience responses are shown for each item rated.
2. Star rating scale
The great thing about a 5-star rating scale is that it's so recognizable you don't need to specify what's high or what's low.
When the result is published not only do you see the number of votes for each star you also get the average response as well.
To create a star rating poll follow these steps:
In the Polls section select the '+ Create new' button.
Select Rating scale as the poll type.
Enter the ' Question title' of your poll or question. It is optional to add rich text formatting (bold, underline, italics paragraph break) to the question title.
If you prefer, add an image to the poll question by clicking on the picture icon. Either upload a preferred image from your computer or use the built-in library of licensed images. (If you have a Free account, you will not have access to this feature.)
Press 'Create'.
