It's now possible to selectively filter words from word cloud and text questions whilst the poll is being conducted.
1. Filtering words from word clouds
When your word cloud poll is open you will see the responses appear on your dashboard immediately. Remember, participants can send in multiple responses, but each word is sent individually.
The left side of the screen shows all of the responses as they come in, and the right side of the screen displays a useful summary showing the frequency of each word.
If you spot a word you would rather not appear in your word cloud make sure to click on it. The word will then appear faded out and will be removed from the word frequencies list.
If the word you are filtering out has been sent in repeatedly, no need to worry about finding all the other instances of it. Vevox will automatically filter it and all other occurrences of it from appearing.
If you made a mistake and want to bring the word back, simply click on it again.
When you close the poll you can still continue to filter messages before you publish the results.
All the word cloud words, filtered or not, will still appear in the post meeting report.
2. Filtering words from text polls
Filtering for text questions works in much the same way but with one crucial difference. Rather than just removing the word from being displayed it removes the entire response.
With text polls, the intention is that a sentence of text is submitted by the participant. Removing just one word from the sentence could lose the context of the response. For this reason, the whole message will be removed when filtering a text response.
In the text poll results, the complete sentence is omitted.
