In this article we cover:
- Delete the responses of a single poll
- Delete the responses of more than one poll
- Delete all the results from your session
We recommend testing or practicing your polls with some mobile devices before your live event, online meeting, or class. It is important to clear these test results that are now linked to your polls. Remember to do this before the actual event or meeting day. Or you can do it straight after your test run.
1. Delete the responses of a single poll
When you have asked a poll you will be able to see your question in your dashboard.
Delete the responses to a specific poll by selecting the 'More Options' icon (three dots at right bottom of the question) and then select the 'Delete' option. From the dropdown arrow select 'Responses'.
Clearing the results of a poll is an irreversible action so you will be prompted to confirm the action. To continue press 'Delete Responses' when asked to confirm the deletion.
The poll will be back in the state it was when you created it and you can now make some edits or ask the poll again.
2. Clearing the results of more than one poll
Select all the polls you would like clear from their results by selecting their checkboxes.
Then click on the 'Delete icon' top right of the list of polls. From the dropdown select 'Responses'.
Clearing the results of a poll is an irreversible action so you will be prompted to confirm the action. To continue press 'Delete Responses' when asked to confirm the deletion.
The polls will be back in the state it was when you created it and you can now make some edits or ask the poll again when it says 'Open poll'.
3. Clearing all the results from your session
You can also clear all the results of a session all at once.
Go to the 'Data' option in the navigation menu on the left. Select the 'Reset Session' option from the report summary. Note that this action can not be undone, and should be used with caution. When you have done a dry run or trial run and you want to delete the test responses, choose this option before you run your polls again. Read more about it here.
