Once a poll is closed, the next one appears ready to be launched when you hit play again. You control the pacing and guide the conversation as the session progresses.
4. Hide/display voting results
By default, Vevox displays results when a poll closes. If you prefer to hide them, press the Hide Results button. The screen will revert to the Q&A board. Click the icon again to reveal the results.
To change the default settings to hide all poll results for this session:
-
Go to Settings in your dashboard.
-
Under the Polls section, disable 'display result on poll close'. (The Display real-time results must also be toggled off.)
-
Click Save.
5. View the next poll
Hover over the question in the control bar to preview upcoming polls, past polls, and results.(Look at the small icon next to each question.) When you click next to the pop-up window, it will disappear again.
6. Skip polls
To skip polls, click the secondary Play button next to the poll you want to run. This can only be done after closing the previous poll and displaying results.
Example: you asked poll #3, it has some results and you are jumping straight to poll #6.
7. Reopen a poll
If you close a poll too soon, click Reopen in the control bar. Previous responses remain, and participants can either keep their answers or change them. New participants can still vote.
8. Cancel a poll
To cancel a poll without switching browser windows from the dashboard:
-
If no votes have been received, click the X icon to cancel the poll and return to the Q&A board.
- If votes have been received, click the bin icon to cancel the poll. A warning will appear that votes will be lost.
Now that the poll is canceled, you can:
- Use the Play button to open the same poll
- Or skip this poll entirely - read point 6 above.
9. Use a countdown timer
Click Start Timer to launch a 10-second countdown. You can pause or extend the timer. The poll will close automatically when time runs out. Read this article for more details.

If running an anonymous session, no names appear.
-
No leaderboard icon will show if you have not set up any correct answers in your meeting.
-
When you click on the 'Full list' option the individual names will appear as well. If it is an anonymous session, no names will appear.
12. Switch to the Q&A board while a live poll is open
You can navigate to the Q&A board while a poll remains open by pressing the shortcut in the control bar. This allows you to discuss items on the Q&A board without disrupting the polling. (Note: Participant devices will stay on the open poll). You can address the crucial issues from here before moving on to the next poll.
An indicator at the top of the Q&A board will show that a poll is still open, with a shortcut to return to polling.
