This feature is only available for Enterprise or Institution plans.
With the role of Account Admin, you can change the default settings and theme colors for all newly created sessions in your account to ensure a standardized experience whenever using Vevox . Other options include;
- Turning the Q&A board on/off, turning on moderation and downvotes
- Customizing and setting the profanity filters as defaults
- Turn on Identification settings
- Standardize the text on the info screen for the app
- Set the app logo & background
- Change the theme in Present view.
- Select the data retention settings
- And many more options.
These settings apply to all sessions created under the subscription the administrators manage and can only be accessed by people with an administrator's role in the Vevox account.
2.To access this feature:
Follow these steps to access the admin settings:
In your dashboard select the Settings button in the main menu.
Choose ‘Admin Settings’ from the dropdown menu.
3. Adjusting the session defaults
The first section you will see here is the Session Defaults. You can adjust the default settings for all newly created meetings from here.
Q&A message board:
- Enable or disable the message board.
- Decide if moderation is required before messages appear.
- Turn downvotes on or off (upvotes remain available).
Participant Identification:
- Require participants to provide a name and surname when it is turned on or allow for anonymity.
Welcome message
- Create a personalized welcome message that participants will see in the app, when they join the session.
Present view settings
- Show or hide joining instructions and QR codes.
- Decide if participant response counts should be displayed.
Poll Settings
- Display voting results as percentages or as numbers.
Profanity Settings
- Enable profanity filters for poll & Q&A or turn it off completely.
4. Customize the Profanity filters
Admins can personalize profanity filters by adding or removing words from the default list. These changes apply to all future sessions.
5. Setting the branding options.
In the Branding tab, adjust the following:
Brand colors
Choose the following settings:
- Main color - Used in headers and banners within the participant app
- Highlight color - This is used to create contrast for important actions or information such as the color of result bars in the participant app & Present view.
Logo and images
- Logo - Appears above joining instructions in Present View (recommended size: 310px x 270px or ratio of 1.15:1).
- Wide Banner Image – Displayed on the participant app info screen (recommended size: 1440px x 622px or an image ratio of 2.32:1).
- Backgrounds - This is used as the main background color in Present view if no background image is provided or the default Vevox one is deleted. Upload your own background image/ try one from our free to use Unsplash photo library (recommended size: 1920px x 1080px or ratio of 16:9).

6. Setting the SAML SSO.
Admins, dashboard users and participants can log in using SAML Single Sign-On (SSO). For setup details, refer to our SAML SSO set up guide.
7. Data retention settings.
