When running a quiz, you can display the leaderboard at any time during a live session by selecting the trophy icon in the Present view control bar.
Alternatively, you can add a leaderboard directly to your presentation slides so it appears automatically at a specific point in your session - no manual steps needed on the day.
Adding a leaderboard to your slides is optional. You can still display it at any time using the trophy icon.
Why add a leaderboard to your slides?
Adding a leaderboard in advance allows you to:
- Prepare everything before your session starts.
- Reduce on-screen multitasking during your presentation.
- Keep your session flowing smoothly, with the leaderboard appearing automatically at the right moment.
How to add a leaderboard to your presentation
Open your session and go to the Presentation section.
Click + Add Content.
In the content creation modal, scroll to Non-polling content and select Leaderboard.
In the Edit panel, choose your leaderboard type and scoring type.
Click 'Done' to add the leaderboard to your presentation.
Drag and drop the leaderboard slide into the position where you want it to appear (for example, after a round of quiz questions).
During your session, the leaderboard will display automatically when you reach that slide in Present view
Leaderboard types
1. The individual leaderboard
Ranks each individual participant based on their quiz score.
Scoring options:
- Points only – ranks participants by total points scored
- Points and speed – ranks by points, with answer speed used as a tiebreaker for fastest correct responses.
If you select Points and speed, a speed leaderboard will also be displayed automatically.
2. The team leaderboard
Ranks teams based on their combined quiz scores.
To use a Team leaderboard, you must first add a team question to your presentation.
How to add a Team leaderboard to your presentation
Follow steps 1 - 4 above, then:
If you already have a team question, select it and move it to the start of your presentation.
If not, click Create Team Question to add one. This will be a demographic question where you define team names
Click 'Done' to add the leaderboard slide to your presentation list.
This demographic question will appear at the bottom of your presentation list beneath the leaderboard slide.
Drag and drop this team question to the top of your presentation list so participants can indicate which team they are on before the quiz starts.
Now also move the Team leaderboard slide into the position where you want it to appear (for example, after a round of quiz questions).
During your session, the leaderboard will display automatically when you reach that slide in Present view.
A team question is required for the Team leaderboard to display correctly.
When you reach the leaderboard slide during your presentation, it will automatically display in Present view and on participant devices.
