You will run a quiz in the same way as you run live polling. You will be using the control bar at the bottom of Present view.
For a quick overview, watch this short video explaining how to run a quiz.
Basic steps to run a quiz in Present view:
Remember to 'Start your session' if you have not yet done so. Participants can join your session by either scanning the QR code with their mobile devices or logging into vevox.app and enter the 9-digit session ID.
To launch the present view simply press 'Present Fullscreen' from your dashboard on the right side of your screen. This is the easiest and quickest way. Your view will automatically change to present view in the same tab/ window. Press 'Escape' again to exit Present view and revert back to the dashboard view.
Present view serves 3 purposes:
- It lets your participants see exactly what's going on on the audience display.
- It lets you, the host control the flow of the session/questions.
- It provides your participants with the joining instructions by showing the 9-digit Session ID or the QR code they can scan to join.
Open the first poll by pressing the 'Open poll' button on the control bar.
With the poll open you can view the number of participants that have responded in the top right corner of the display. This lets you judge whether you have given participants enough time to answer and if you can move on to the next step. Here you have 14 participants connected to the session and 13 participants have answered the poll.
The default setting is to display results on poll close and keep the dynamic updates off. For quizzing, we recommend waiting until the poll has ended to show the audience how everyone else voted. Should you show the answers as they come in, you can sway the participants votes instead of giving honest feedback. This will be detrimental when you want to gauge your participants understanding of a subject.
Once you have received all or the majority of the answers, close the poll by pressing the 'Close poll' button. When the poll closes all voting will be stopped and the result will be displayed.
Display the correct answer by pressing the 'Show correct answer' button. This is an optional step but highly recommended to keep your audience engaged as you step through the quiz.
When you are ready to move on to the next question press the 'Next poll' button.
Repeat steps 3 to 6 until you are ready to display the leaderboard with the scores.
You have full control of how you want to conduct your quiz. Quiz questions can be asked quick-fire, one after the other, or spread out throughout your session.
Display the leaderboard by pressing the 'Show leaderboard' icon to the left of the control bar.
The leaderboard can be shown at any time you like. You can also opt to show a speed leaderboard, even though it was not activated during the session setup.
If you have closed the poll too quickly, press the re-open option to enable participants to vote again on the same poll.
It is also possible to add a countdown timer to your polls to set a quick answer pace and to add to the excitement of the competition.

Exporting quiz scores
All quiz scores can be exported into Excel the same way you export the data report for a polling session. If your quiz were set up in an identified way, your participants would also be identified in the reporting.
