In this article we cover:
- Sorting messages in the dashboard
- Sorting messages in Present view
- Sorting message on the participant app
The sorting Q&A messages is available to all Vevox accounts including Free accounts and can be used with moderation ON or OFF.
1. Sorting messages in the dashboard
When looking at your message lists you might want to change the order in which your messages appear in your dashboard. The Sort by feature allows you to do this—but keep in mind, it only affects how messages appear in the dashboard, not in Present view or the participant app.
You can choose from the following three sort options in the dashboard:
- Recent at the top
- Oldest at the top
- Most liked at the top
The ‘Most liked’ option uses the upvote feature, where participants can give a +1 to any message they agree with or find useful. Sorting by likes helps you prioritize the most popular questions or comments so you can address them first.
The default settings for the Q&A lists with moderation ON are:
Needs Review - messages appear with the oldest at the top.
Reviewed - messages appear with the oldest at the top.
Published - messages appear with the newest at the top.
Archive - messages appear with the newest at the top.
Once you change the sort order in a list, Vevox remembers your selection—no need to re-sort when switching between tabs.
To sort your list simply press on the 'Sort' button and choose your option.
2. Sorting messages in Present view:
To change the order of messages in Present view, you must use the sort feature within Present view itself. You can choose to display:
- Most recent first
- Most liked first
In this Q&A board, the most liked question received 10 likes and appears at the top when sorted by likes. The next two had 7 and 6 likes, followed by the rest.
3. Sorting the participant app
Participants now have the ability to sort their own Q&A board within the app, allowing them to:
- See the most liked messages first
- Or view the most recent messages
This feature ensures participants have control of their own experience on their devices and also improves participant engagement.
