When you want to display your Q&A board, there are two ways your participants can see it:
- Using Present view – ideal for screen sharing in online meetings or showing on a big screen during in-person events.
- Through the participant app – giving attendees direct access on their own devices.
Don't forget to introduce your participants to Vevox and remind them to check the Q&A board regularly during your session.
1. To display your Q&A board on Present view:
Present view is designed to be shared with your audience – either via a projected big screen or screen share in Zoom/Teams or other integrations.
Open Present view and use the control bar to click on the two speech bubbles.
- If you’ve already run a poll, this will switch the screen to Q&A.
- If you haven’t launched any polls yet, Present view will default to Q&A, displaying the message:
“Please submit your questions and ‘Like’ those sent by others.”
Click on the actual question to enlarge it and focus everyone’s attention to it.
Click next to the question to minimize it again.
Click
the eye icon to remove a message
from view once it has been addressed. It will disappear from the list in Present
view but is still saved in the
Archive and
data report.
If there’s a host reply, click the reply icon to show or hide it in Present view. Hiding a reply will remove it only from Present view – it will still be visible in the app.
Once the ideas, comments and questions are coming in, sort your list by:
- Newest
- Most liked at the top
You can also filter it by your favorite list or any other label you have added.

Displaying your Q&A board in integrations like Teams, Zoom, GoToMeeting etc.
Sharing your screen in a platform like Teams, Zoom, Webex is very easy. Just share your screen as you normally would in any virtual platform. It allows all participants to follow the conversation on the larger screen.
Idea: Use a light-hearted icebreaker, like asking participants to submit their best jokes.
What can you do with the Q&A board:
- Favorite messages–as a moderator, highlight key questions or comments..
- Edit, unpublish, or delete messages - they will still be available in the data reporting.
- Send replies from the dashboard - if you can’t answer them all verbally.
- Add filters & labels to the Q&A board – to group messages by speaker or topic.
- Share the Q&A board with a colleague or moderator to help manage questions.
- Clear the Q&A board to start fresh with a new topic or round of questions.
2. To display your Q&A board on the participant app
Participants can access the Q&A board directly from the Vevox app after joining your session.
Note the following:
1. If the Q&A board is turned on, participants can click on the two speech bubbles at the top of the app to enter the Q&A board. A red dot means they haven’t opened it yet. The red dot will disappear once they’ve accessed it.
2. Participants can upvote or downvote messages to show agreement or disagreement.
- This affects the message’s position if sorting by "Most liked".
- Participants can also add labels to their comments and will see their profile icon next to them.
3. Participants can choose to view their own Q&A board in either ‘most liked’ or ‘most recent’. They can also filter their view to show only messages with replies, or their own messages.
4. If the Q&A board is turned off, the speech bubble icon won’t appear in the participant app.
If Q&A is in Paused mode, the Q&A board will still be visible on the participant app & Present view, but participants cannot send or interact with them.
5. If a participant cannot find their message or question in the Q&A board, it might be that the moderator has decided not to share the message with others on the message board.
- An 'unpublished' label will appear next to the message.
- When the message is published to the Q&A board, it will say 'Published' next to it.
Keep in mind: the Q&A board looks slightly different in the app compared to Present view, depending on sorting and filter settings.
