What has changed for users with free accounts?
If you are running sessions for more than 100 participants or using Surveys, Word clouds, or accessing data and analytics you will need to upgrade your plan using a credit card through your account dashboard.

Does Vevox offer a free trial for businesses/education?
Yes, you can familiarise yourself with the latest version of Vevox and trial it anytime free of charge by signing up for a free account.
How do I sign up for a free Vevox account?
Simply click here to sign up, it takes two minutes and provides instant access. No credit card or payment information is required. You can also sign up for free at vevox.com.
How do I get started using my free account?
The first time you access your dashboard, you will be invited to participate in a short tutorial to have you connected and running live polls in seconds.
This short ‘Getting started’ video provides an introduction to all the key features and how to use them.
If you are looking to run Vevox polls through PowerPoint, this short ‘Powerpoint Polling’ video will have you up and running in no time.

What features do I get with a free Vevox account?
With a free account, you can run and display unlimited multichoice live polls, Latex notation polls as well as Q&A. You can also download and use the PowerPoint Add-in. Also included in the free account is the Vevox quiz and live leaderboard functionality that will get everyone excited.
Features not included in the free account are ‘locked’. These include:
- Q&A moderation,
- app branding,
- customization of the agenda/welcome screen,
- star rating polls,
- word cloud polls,
- ranking polls
- open text polls,
- numeric response polls,
- using images in polls,
- XY Plot,
- surveys
- self-paced quizzes
- and the ability to download data reports.
A free account also ensures access to the Microsoft Teams Integration but not to Zoom, YouTube Live, Webex, Skype and other webcasting integrations. That being said, you can still do an easy screen share in Present view to show all your polls & Q&A to your participants in Zoom and other webcast software. (You do not need an integration to do a screen share.) Our online Help site ensures that you have all the information to set up your polls & Q&A and guarantees your participants will feel connected, valued and heard.

How do I access the ‘locked’ features not available in the Free account?
To upgrade to a Starter or Pro package is easy and super quick. In your Vevox dashboard click the ‘Account’ tab and choose the plan that works for you, you can pay via credit card and gain access instantly.
For multi-user, institution-wide or company-wide enterprise plans, please contact the team.
How many people can participate in a meeting using a free account?
Free account business plan: Up to 100 participants can join a meeting session at any one time.
Free account education plan: Up to 100 participants can join a class session at any one time.
How many sessions can I run using a free account?
You can create and run as many as you like. The only limit is that you cannot have any more than one session ‘live’ i.e. in the ‘started’ state at the same time.
Who owns and what happens to the results/data collected when using a free account?
This is a key feature of Vevox accounts. ALL results and data, whether collected using a free or paying plan, is yours and for your purposes only. Please see our terms and conditions for details.
How do I access/download data and content from past sessions (created when I was on a paid plan or old version of the free account)?
To access and use historical data and content such as surveys, you will need to hold a current paid Vevox subscription. Upgrade from your free account by clicking the ‘Account’ tab in your dashboard and choosing the appropriate plan. Access will be granted instantly. No data or content is deleted.
Can I import the ‘sample polls’ offered in Vevox whilst using a free account?
Yes, but for multichoice questions only. Other question types and survey polls cannot be imported on a free account. A warning will display when you try.
What poll types can I use via the PowerPoint Add-in with a free account?
The same polling type is available i.e. MultiChoice and Latex notation polls. If the PowerPoint Add-in is not logged in/connected to your dashboard, you will be able to create the other questions types however, you will not be able to use them. Trying to create or run unlicensed poll types will trigger an onscreen warning.
Can I keep and use a free account forever?
The free account does not expire if you are using it, however, we do reserve the right to change the features available and connotations of the free account at any time. You will receive notice of any changes. Unverified or Unused free accounts may be canceled after 3 months.
