Who has access to it?
All Vevox plans include it for FREE and have unlimited access to this feature. We reserve the right to change the conditions of use at any time.
2. What is an AI Quiz?
Quiz Like a Pro – Effortlessly!
Vevox’s AI makes question creation a breeze. You can choose between the
- Vevox AI quiz generator that will set up your multichoice questions and answers for you. You only need to know your topic and decide the level of difficulty of your questions.
- Or if you have your question but can’t think of choices to vote on, the AI question helper will do the think work for you and give you relevant choice options.
An automatic scoreboard completes the quizzing. AI quizzes can be generated in the Present view (like in this example) or in our integrations like PowerPoint, Teams & Zoom.
Vevox integrates with Azure AI from Microsoft.
3. The AI quiz generator
Using the AI quiz generator, just enter a topic—broad or specific—and it will
- generate choice quiz questions,
- answer options,
- indicate the correct answer,
- and supply an explanation for the correct answer.
If you want more control, upload your own text or PDF document, and our AI assistant will create quiz questions directly from your own content - a great win for educators and subject-specific quizzes.
This AI feature works exclusively for multiple-choice questions (MCQs). It can generate 10 questions from one prompt, providing up to five (or more) answer options, one of which is always correct.
| Prompts can be specific like: | Or prompts can be general like: |
| Most watched American TV shows in 2025, Fourth-year student Physics, Artificial Intelligence, Challenges, Net zero strategy technology, Treating an abrasion on the skin, Principal areas in Wales, Managing stress as a student, Best British pastimes ever, Shakespeare’s 10 history plays. | Mr. Bean, Confex 2025, Disney turning 100, The Great British Bake Off, The Gaelic language, Boston Marathon, Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival, Easter quiz etc. |

You might see a spinning wheel—this means the AI is working on your quiz. Generating qQestions and options can take a minute or two.
- Once you're happy with the results, click 'Add Questions' to include them all, or select only the ones you want. Your questions and answer options will then appear in your session automatically.
To review the questions in the dashboard, click on the three dots next to the question and select 'Edit'. The question, choice options, and correct answer will be visible. It is possible to edit, move, duplicate or delete them in the edit mode. You can even add images to the questions in the question title or choice options or change the result display type.
If you are happy with the question, press ‘Cancel’ to close and move on to the next question below. Review all the questions until you are satisfied.
To add more questions to your quiz, select '+ Add Content' and repeat step 2 above.
Once you have all the questions, you can open the quiz in Present view by selecting the ‘Present Fullscreen’ option on the right-hand side. The question would now appear in Present view and the participant app. Read this article on how to run a poll in Present view.
Create course or subject specific quizzes
Want to add polls on your own course content or lesson plan? The quiz generator will create questions only based on your reference material when you upload it.

Set the difficulty level.
Add your source content by either:
- Pasting it from the clipboard, or
- Uploading a text or PDF document.
You can review, select, or exclude questions before adding them to your session. Once added, questions can be edited, deleted, or modified—including adding images, from within the dashboard. Click the 'Regenerate' button to get replacement questions. Any newly added questions will appear at the bottom of the list. Note that only one document can be uploaded at a time.
4. The AI Question Helper
What is the AI Question helper?
If you have the question but can't think of possible answers - the AI question helper is what you need.
The AI Question Helper lets you quickly generate answer options for your polls—not just for multiple-choice questions (like the AI Quiz Generator), but also ranking and numeric polls. Simply enter your question title, and the AI will create four answer options per question, along with the correct answer(s) and a short explanation.
For numeric polls, it can even set minimum and maximum values, include decimals where appropriate, and add an error margin automatically.
Once your poll is generated, you can switch to edit mode to make any adjustments or add images.
How to use the AI question helper & examples
From the polls section, open your question modal and select your question type. Type in your question title and press the 'generate options'. Give AI a few moments to generate the answer options, correct answer(s) and explanations where applicable. Edit the questions where needed.
MCQ: "What is the most stolen food in the word?"
Numeric: "What are the number of dimples on a standard golf ball?"
Ranking in order: "Rank these coffee drinks by caffeine content."
Ranking by preference: "What is the best public transport for travel?"
5. Change the default scoring:
All MCQs in the AI Quiz Generator start with a default score of 1 point. To award more points for a correct answer, go into edit mode for the specific question, open the poll settings, and adjust the scoring to your preference. This is available to the following poll types with one or more correct answers: MCQ, Text, Rank in correct order, numeric, Pin on image & Pin on choice image.
Partial scoring: When you have a MCQ, Rank in order, Pin on Image or Pin on choice image poll with more than one correct answer, you can add partial scoring.
6. How to set up an AI Quiz in a survey
To create a quiz using the AI Quiz Generator or AI Question Helper for participants to complete in their own time, use the Survey feature. A quiz in a survey is called a self-paced quiz, allowing participants to answer at their own pace.
If correct answers are added, participants receive instant feedback and see their total score after submitting (answers can’t be changed once submitted). Hosts can also set start and end times or apply a time limit.
Follow the same steps in this article to create your survey questions, using Vevox’s AI tools to speed up and inspire your question creation.

Vevox AI Integration data security statement:
Vevox's implementation of AI prioritizes your privacy and data security. No identifiable data is sent with the prompts for question generation, and none of your queries are stored. All prompts are submitted under our Azure Open AI account and therefore no link is associated with the individual user or Vevox account using the function. The generated questions are stored as a set of normal questions in your dashboard, with no connection to your company or employees. While we cannot protect against users submitting private information in their prompts, we believe these scenarios are highly unlikely. Your privacy is our top concern, and we continuously enhance our safeguards to ensure a positive and secure experience for you.

This is an additional feature to help save time and provide inspiration for presenters, it is not forced onto any user or replacing any current functionality or a required part of the question creation process. Secondly, this feature can be completely deactivated if required- see next question.

This feature is experimental and in active development. We are listening to feedback and open to ideas- Please send feedback to aiquiz@vevox.com and will continue to evolve and develop the performance and scope of our AI integrations.
Like any internet search, there can be inaccuracies in the questions and responses generated, although from extensive testing and feedback it is incredibly accurate and reliable. We do strongly recommend reviewing all questions created and entered into the system by AI for accuracy and functionality. We describe AI Quiz as being your assistant, saving you time and providing inspiration, but not completely replacing you! The area that AI sometimes brings up inaccuracies is when a question is date bound and it has not sourced the question from the most up to date source. For example a question like 'Who is currently the CEO of XXX company?' might bring up a previous CEO based on content that is out there on the net.

Hovering over the 'I' button provides further instructions on how to use the prompt. When you use the AI quiz generator, you can enter anything from one word to a more detailed prompt for what you need. Please note: You do not need to specify the question type, number of responses required or the need for a correct answer and explanation, this is built in already.
If you use the AI questions helper to generate choice options only, you first need to select the poll type, i.e., MCQ, numeric, ranking, or demographic poll type, type in your question, and then hit 'Generate options'.
The AI quiz generator is currently avalable for multichoice quiz questions only (within Polls and Surveys). Questions generated will always be multichoice, have between 2-5 possible answers (or undefined is you wish), a correct answer, and a correct answer explanation. The AI question helper will create answer options for MCQ, ranking (in preference or in correct order), numeric and demographic poll types.
Yes, other questions formats, and non 'Quiz' style questions, i.e. ones that do not have a 'correct' answer are on the roadmap.
Yes. Again it is very important you check any content created before sharing with a live audience.
Not currently but we are aware this would be helpful for some. These can be added in only a couple of clicks though using the built in image library or your own image.
Auga Technologies (Vevox's parent company) is the client account of Azure OpenAI. Auga has tens of thousands of users, so there will be no company specific data that is trackable from an individual client of Auga’s and subsequently Vevox. i.e. all prompts that are inputted come from Auga, not any specific user or account.
