Survey is a restricted feature for Vevox Free Accounts. See this article for more details.
How to create a survey:
Creating a survey works much the same way as creating polls. Your different surveys will not appear as session cards but in a list below each other.
Create a session card
Select 'Surveys' from the navigation menu.
Press the '+ Create new ' button.
Click on the word 'New survey' to give your survey a name. You can also click on the description to change the survey description that participants will see on their devices before they start completing the survey. Alternatively, keep the current description as it is.
The next step is to add some questions. Adding questions to a survey works the same way as creating live polls.
Press the + Add Question button.
Select the type of question you would like to create. In surveys, you can choose between multichoice, ranking, rating, text & numeric, Latex question types and adding images to those questions. (Word cloud and XY plot are not available in surveys.)
Enter the title of your question.
If applicable enter the choices and set the correct answer for the question. (If you set a correct answer, participants will see an individual score on their mobile devices at the end of the survey. Read more about it here.)
Press 'Create' to save your question.
Repeat this process to add multiple questions to your survey.
The survey description is the default message that will appear in all surveys on participant devices.
Creating multiple surveys
Presenter plans and above can run multiple surveys / self-paced quizzes simultaneously.
When you want to create multiple surveys, follow the steps above. The survey will then be listed as a separate survey and appear below the previously set up surveys. All surveys in the same session will use the same 9 digit Session ID.
Surveys will appear in the participant app in the same order as they appear in the dashboard. Users cannot be forced to complete one survey before proceeding to the next.
The survey menu in the participant app indicates which surveys have been completed and which ones are still outstanding. When a survey is not yet in the started mode, it will not appear in the participant app.
Shuffle the question order
When turning on the shuffle question order, the system will automatically randomize the order of the questions for each participant, preventing any bias created by the order and limiting assessment cheating.
To turn the shuffle question order on, toggle the shuffle button in the survey to 'On'.
